Earlier this year, Eddie Bauer stores closed all across the country, and Bismarck's Kirkwood Mall location, along with West Acres', made the list of cuts.

The Fargo space has been sitting empty for several months, leaving many mallgoers wondering what's next. According to a post from the West Acres Mall Facebook page this past Friday (October 23rd), The North Face is moving in.

We recently learned the exciting news that a North Face store would soon occupy the Eddie Bauer space in the JCPenney wing of the West Acres Mall.

This will be the state's first standalone The North Face location. At this time, we haven't been able to confirm an exact opening date, but it looks like it will be sooner rather than later, as the West Acres Mall posted to Facebook that it will be ready by the end of 2026.

Keep checking back with us for updates. Hopefully, we will see the store open its doors with plenty of time to visit for some holiday shopping. For those of us in Bismarck, hopefully this is a sign that Bismarck might be next for a The North Face location.
