If you've been paying attention to the news lately, you've probably heard a lot of tariff talk. Several countries are set to face ten percent tariff increases, while some may get slapped with an increase as much as fifty percent.

Some of these new tariffs have already been enacted, while many start tomorrow (April 9th). Here's what you will likely see as a result.

Washers & Dryers

If you've been thinking about getting a new washer and dryer, you might want to act now.

According to Unilad, they are expected to go up in price soon.

Furniture

Need a new couch? A new bed? Better hit the furniture stores now. According to the source, the U.S. imported $9.4 billion worth of furniture in 2023. With China getting hit the hardest with the new tariffs, you should act fast. The country faces a 54 percent tariff rate.

Wine & Coffee

Spanish wine, French wine, and German beer could soon get hit with a 200 percent tariff hike. A tariff increase on these products from the EU (European Union) hasn't yet been confirmed, but, just in case, you might want to stock up.

Cars

It was announced that all cars and car parts will have a 25 percent tariff increase. The source claims that this change will affect not only cars brought in from other countries to the US, but also cars made domestically.

The source says this could make the prices of cars go up $2,500 to $20,000.

Maple Syrup

This one is very specific, but yes, maple syrup will likely go up in price. If you love pancakes for breakfast, now is the time to stock your pantry.

The source says the United States receives 90 percent of its maple syrup from Quebec, Canada, which, as you know, will be facing tariff increases.

More to Come

There are probably several other items that will see a price hike, but those are a few things you should jump on now.
