Cashman Nursery and Landscaping has Deep Roots in Bismarck

Owners Dan and Carol Cashman have been a fixture in the Bismarck community for a long time. They opened Cashman Nursery and Landscaping back in 1975. My Red River High School math ( I was born and raised in Grand Forks) tells me Cashman Nursery has been around for 51 years. You can read all about the family history of the Cashmans and their impressive run of nurseries across Minnesota, Montana, and North Dakota here.

All Good Things Must Come to an End

It appears that Cashman Nursery and Landscaping, as we know it, will cease to exist as of December 24th, 2026. This was confirmed to me by an employee when I was shopping there recently. BOMBSHELL! I was not expecting this, as I have been a customer for many years.

I noticed recently an ad on Bismanonline, showing that the land for Cashman Nursery was for sale. They are asking $999,900 for the land only. The ad states that the price is for the land and building only. The business, equipment, and customers are not included in the real estate sale. This led me to believe that Cashman Nursery was relocating to a different location. As it turns out, that is not the case. The employee did tell me that they are hoping a different nursery and landscaping company will buy them out, so they can continue under a different name. That remains to be seen.

Cashman Nursery and Landscaping Closing Date

Again, the last day of operation under the name Cashman Nursery and Landscaping will be December 24th of this year. We wish all of Cashman's current employees well in the future.
