Mandan is Mourning

The Capital Region continues to mourn the loss of two Mandan teens who were laid to rest this past Monday, October 12th, after a senseless, deadly car crash that took the lives of 17-year-old Benjamin Moch and 16-year-old Taylor Fisher.

The fatal crash took place on Friday, October 2nd on West Main Avenue. According to police reports, 19-year-old Cameron Schestler of Bismarck was traveling westbound on Main Avenue at an extremely high rate of speed while allegedly racing another vehicle when he struck the vehicle driven by a 16-year-old Cade Satnan. He was the only survivor of this horrific crash that killed his two friends. Schestler suffered severe injuries and is expected to recover. The Bismarck Police Department says charges are pending.

Details of the Benefit

An online benefit has been put together to help Cade Satnan. As I'm sure you can imagine, this young man is experiencing significant trauma both physically and mentally. He has a long road ahead of him after suffering head and neck injuries, and we can't even imagine what Cade is going through mentally.

Cade is currently walking with the aid of a walker and is in a neck brace. If you would like to help out Cade and his family, you can do so here. Cade comes from a great family, and anything you could do to help support them would greatly be appreciated.

You can also donate to the Taylor Fisher Memorial here. And the Benjamin Moch Memorial here.

Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to Cade, the Satnan family, and the Fisher and Moch families.
