The New Papa's Pumpkin Patch

The beloved Bismarck-Mandan tradition lives on in a new location, next door to the previous location for the last 43 years. Yep, that's right, Papa's Pumpkin Patch has been around since 1983, and this is the 44th year of operation under new ownership. Dave Pearce was the original architect of this autumn family fun spot.

Chase Dauenhauer is the new owner of Papa's Pumpkin Patch, and the new location is set right on Chase's land at 4205 Burnt Creek Loop, just north of the previous location. Papa's Pumpkin Patch is now on 40 acres of land. The operation is being run by a core team of five family members. The animals at the patch are owned by the Dauenhauers.

New Activites at the Patch

All of your favorite activities are back from over the years, but Dauenhauer told me they are very excited to introduce Blast Laser Tag, which runs the first four Saturdays in September, and that may continue into October. Other new activities include the Slide Hill, Papa's Jumper, a boutique shop, a new trolley, and Tea's Kettle Corn is a tasty new treat.

Speaking of food, there are two large concessions if you are craving some pumpkin treats or even hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches, and much more.

There are even large party tents, which would be perfect for corporate team-building parties, birthdays, or church groups.

Hours of Operation & Prices

Papa's Pumpkin Patch is open Noon to 7 pm daily, weather permitting, Monday through Sunday. It will close on Sunday, October 25th.

General Admission: $10 per person

Children: (Ages 2 and under FREE)

Thursdays: $8.00 per person

Season Pass: $30 individual or $150 for the family members

Admission includes access to many free activities on site, while select activities carry a small separate fee. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online on the Papa's Pumpkin Patch website.
