I had the pleasure a couple of years back, and I will have the privilege of broadcasting live from the event this Friday evening.
It's hard to overemphasize how truly unforgettable your first powwow experience is going to be.
Here's when and where you can be a part of something truly special in the Capital Region.
This will be the 55th annual United Tribes Technical College International Powwow. It will be going on from Friday, September 5th, through Sunday, September 7th. The Powwow is located at the Lone Star Veterans Arena at 3315 University Drive.
The public is welcome to attend the Powwow, and I can promise you, you will be immersed in a vibrant cultural event that holds its traditions sacred through the involvement of all generations.
Not only is this a "cultural celebration," but also a heated competition with money on the line.
If you want to maximise your Powwow experience, you should check out the full schedule on the official United Tribes website.
Make sure your visit includes at least one of the four Grand Entries.
