“My mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’ To this day, especially in times of disaster, I remember my mother’s words, and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers — so many caring people in this world.”

In McKenzie and Billings County, North Dakota you don't have to look far to find local folks are reaching out to help the firefighters.
KXMB reports community members have been providing food and water to the people battling the Magpie Wildfire

Local business is also chipping in: The Four Corners Cafe in Fairfield has prepared breakfast and lunch for the firefighters - and serving them, free of charge.

Jesse Romanyshyn, owner of Four Corners Cafe, says, "I went to school over here so growing up every spring we would have a field trip out there. We always had good memories. We went trough the park a few times growing up."

Mr. Romanyshyn says the restaurant will continue to provide food until it's all over.
