Last year we learned that Paul McCartney would have a role in the fifth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Today, we've gotten out first look at how he looks in full costume for the film, whose subtitle is Dead Men Tell No Tales.

The revelation comes from McCartney himself, who tweeted out a picture of the poster for the Disney movie, which is coming out on May 26. He gave it the caption "#PiratesLife."

IMDB's page for Dead Men Tell No Tales lists McCartney's character as "Jail Guard 2." Whether or not he will have as much screen time as Keith Richards -- who appeared in two of the previous Pirates movies as Captain Teague, the father of protagonist Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp, who modeled his part on Richards) -- remains to be seen. But we do know that a scene with McCartney was added specifically due to his involvement.

The synopsis, as reprinted by ScreenCrush, is as follows. "The rip-roaring adventure finds down-on-his-luck Captain Jack feeling the winds of ill-fortune blowing strongly his way when deadly ghost sailors, led by the terrifying Captain Salazar, escape from the Devil’s Triangle bent on killing every pirate at sea  —  notably Jack. Jack’s only hope of survival lies in the legendary Trident of Poseidon, but to find it he must forge an uneasy alliance with Carina Smyth, a brilliant and beautiful astronomer, and Henry, a headstrong young sailor in the Royal Navy. At the helm of the Dying Gull, his pitifully small and shabby ship, Captain Jack seeks not only to reverse his recent spate of ill fortune, but to save his very life from the most formidable and malicious foe he has ever faced."

It won't be the first time McCartney and Depp have been on camera together. Back in 2014, Depp appeared in McCartney's video for "Early Days," which resulted in a 30-minute bonus video of the two of them jamming with about six blues musicians.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales also stars Geoffrey Rush, Keira Knightly, Orlando Bloom and Javier Bardem.
