Santana Reveals Cover Art, Release Date for ‘Corazon’
The cover art for the highly anticipated new album from Santana has just been revealed.
'Corazon,' set for release May 6, is the very first all-Latin music album from the guitar legend. It features contributions from ChocQuibTown, Lila Downs, Gloria Estefan, Fabulosos Cadillacs, Juanes, Ziggy Marley, Miguel, Niña Pastori, Diego Torres, Samuel Rosa of Skank, Cindy Blackman Santana, Romeo Santos, Soledad, Wayne Shorter, and more.
The unique and very eye-catching cover art was designed by Boa Mistura, an art collective based in Madrid, Spain that works primarily on public art pieces, developing projects in South Africa, Norway, Berlin, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.The album, which was produced by Lester Mendez, is being touted as a "return to his Spanish-speaking childhood" according to a press release. In an interview with Efe magazine in late-2013, Santana said, "All the artists, men and women, who have taken part bring their own light, their talent, their spirit, they want to work with me," adding, "I've surrounded myself with artists who see the invisible and do the impossible."
The new tracks 'La Flaca' and 'Saideira' are currently streaming on the official Santana website.
