The National Weather Service in Bismarck is issuing a Winter Weather Advisory for Friday night into Saturday evening. The forecast for that duration includes accumulating snow.
While there are chances of rain and snow in the Bismarck area tonight, the eastern side of North Dakota is forecasted to receive up to 8 inches of snow in some spots this week.
You've likely already felt it, but the arctic air is seeping into the Dakotas and making temperatures and wind chills dangerously cold for this weekend.
So sad that I have to mention this but for Bismarck-Mandan, there is already an early prediction for the winter of 2014-15. And it's not looking like we'll get off with a mild winter if you believe these types of predictions.
