In reference to the title of this blog, I would not ask the accused Bismarck doctor that question. Probably wouldn't be a pretty sight for one thing - The INFORUM reports that 66-year-old- Craig Grorud, a Bismarck physician has been arrested on suspicion of "Turning the other cheek" so-to-speak, facilitating prostitution at a massage parlor that has listed him as the owner. The name of the hands-on facility is Hong Kong Spa in Bismarck - The North Dakota secretary state's website has listed Grorud as the owner. Criminal charges against the man, who is licensed as a medical doctor in North Dakota and Minnesota, alleging that he knowingly allowed the business to be used for prostitution. His arrest came on the 10th of this month and was part of a sting to try and dig up some "prostitution rings" - other places mentioned were the Tokyo Q Spa in Dickinson.

Last year in July, an undercover officer from the Bismarck Police Department went into Hong Kong Spa to receive a massage, and during his visit was asked several times by the masseuse to remove his underwear, and he was offered to perform sexual acts, according to court documents. The INFORUM went on to say "In North Dakota, a doctor can receive disciplinary action for a felony or misdemeanor from the North Dakota Board of Medicine if it receives notice of the charges and determines the doctor's actions deem disciplinary measures necessary, said Bonnie Storbakken, the board's executive director. Storbakken declined to say whether the board is considering disciplinary action against Grorud".

Craig Grorud's preliminary hearing is set for 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5. Click here for more on this story.
