The storm was briefly downgraded to a Winter Weather Advisory late last night, but the National Weather Service has again issued a Winter Storm Warning until tomorrow afternoon.  (October 12th.)

My view outside my house this morning south of Lincoln.

Should make for an interesting Pheasant opener tomorrow.  Walking in 3 foot drifts is always fun, that's if you can even make it out to your destination.

I observed several cars in the ditch on my way in from Lincoln this morning.  Traffic was way backed up on the strip near the interchange because a truck with a flat bed had jackknifed.  Ironically with snow moving equipment on his flat bed.

Our hearts continue to go to the farmers who will face some tough decisions after this mess is done.  "Disastrous" is how one farmer described the situation, who I recently spoke to.

Please take it easy on the roads this morning.  You'll get where your going if you take it easy and play it smart.  Call ahead to your destination as many businesses are closed today.
