••7th Annual Downtowners Rip Roarin’ Ripfest  in the parking lot, across from the Civic Center.  Admission is $5, kids 12 and younger are in free.  Great food, live music----including Gwen Sebastian on Saturday night, and lots of kids activities.  It’s on from 11-11 both FRI & SAT.

 

••Like Model Aircraft?   Annual Bismarck Aircraft Modelers Spring Fly-In is on this weekend at Hoge Island.  Radio controlled planes will be flying all weekend long.   There will be trainer planes available for those who’d like to try!  Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the weekend.  FREE. 

 

••Morton County Soil Conservation District is having a tree sale.  It’s on FRI from 9-3 and SUN from 9-12Noon at the Morton County Tree Building in New Salem at 201 South 9th Street.  Get some great bargains on trees and shrubs. 

 

••Heartview Foundation’s “Dine With A Hero” Banquet.  Is on Friday night with Bismarck Native & Hero Anne Mahlum as the keynote speaker.  Check in at 6pm, dinner at 7 and the keynote address at 8pm.  It’s on at the Radisson Hotel, 6th & Broadway.  $30, or 2 for $50. 

 

 

 

 

••”Discover The Dinosaurs”  At the Bismarck Civic Center life-like real sized dinosaurs will be available up close & personal.  Hours are 12noon-9pm FRI, 10am-8pm SAT, and on SUN from 10am-7pm.  Tickets available at the door. 

 

••Love To Rodeo?   PBR Bull Riding Challenge is on FRI & SAT nights at 730 at the Bismarck Civic Center.  Tickets $18-$59.

 

••Mandan United Methodist 15 & 5 K Walk & Run is on SAT at 9am at the Church 810-12th Street Northwest.  T-shirts to the first 50 paeticipants and pets are welcome.

 

••29th Annual North Dakota Farm Toy Show, Auction & Craft Show is on SAT 9-4 and SUN 10-2 in La-Moure, south of Jamestown.  Chicken bar-b-que and auction and fun for everyone.
