6 Wineries Every North Dakotan Should Visit This Summer
It's finally warming up, and we all have the itch to get out, shake off some of that seasonal depression, and enjoy all North Dakota has to offer.
Here's something you might have never done: visit some of the best wineries in North Dakota!
Putting You In A Grape Mood
I've put together a list of some of the top wineries in North Dakota, according to bestthingsndd.com and Trip Advisor. Enjoy!
1. 4e Winery
Located in Mapleton, North Dakota, the winery opened back in 2015. According to the winery's website, one of the owners, Greg, works in the chemistry department at NDSU.
2. Urban Winery
This winery is located in downtown Minot and has a unique look. The walls are filled with black and white photos, and it is home to many local arts and crafts events. If you're looking for a different experience, I'd definitely give this spot a try.
3. Wolf Creek Winery
You can find this gem right by Lake Sakakawea in Coleharbor, North Dakota. This is your spot if you're looking for something with a great view. According to the winery's website, this winery uses North Dakota's cold climate grapes to produce its delicious wine.
4. Vintner's Winery
This winery can be found in North Dakota's capitol city (Bismarck), and it's a little different than the others in that it is a cellar winery. The owners pride themselves on sharing the art of making wine with their patrons.
5. Maple River Winery
Maple River Winery is located in Casselton, North Dakota, and has been around since 2001. It's right in the downtown area.
Do you know what's great about this winery? - It's open all year round. It's a sort of wine bar. How cool is that?
6. Fluffy Fields Winery
According to bestthingsnd.com, this is Dickinson's first winery. They have daily wine tastings and a very cool aesthetic.
Give It A Go
Those are just some of the many wineries in our great state. Sadly, I've been to exactly none of them. That is something I will fix as soon as possible. Tell us about your experience at any of these places --feel free to throw out some recommendations. Do you know of any hidden gems? Send us a message!
