It's that time of year again, when kids get to act like kids and adults can, too! Halloween represents a time of fun and fright for little and big people alike, and there's plenty of activities around Bis-Man for families to take part in to whet their Halloween appetite. Check out the list we've put together so far!
Haunted Fort
Fridays & Saturdays, Oct. 10 - Nov. 1Haunted Fort has established itself as one of the premier Halloween destinations in all of North Dakota. Set at the historic Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, the #1 haunted attraction in the state leads spectators through the buildings of Fort Lincoln. They might catch a glimpse of a shadowy figure in the second story window of the Custer House, hear footsteps pacing around the sergeant's quarters in the barracks, or listen to the harrowing cries of weeping women along the boardwalk. It's all just enough to make you wonder, is Fort Lincoln really haunted?

VIP 'Skip the Line' Access $32.00Trunk or Treat
October 31, 5-7:30pmNew Song Church's 'Trunk or Treat' is an alternative to the traditional trick-or-treating. Volunteers decorate the trunks of their vehicles and park at the church while handing out candy to children of all ages. Over 4,000 people attended in 2013!
This is a free event open to everyone! There will be a free carnival, hotdogs and refreshments, as well as drawings for free stuff!

Sept. 14 - Oct. 25, 12-7pm dailyPapa's Pumpkin Patch has what you would expect (pumpkins ... and LOTS of them!), plus a whole lot more! There is something for the entire family!
Free activities include: bale mazes, bale castles, obstacle courses, Papasville, photo ops, trebuchet, and the pumpkin cannon. Those with fees include: train rides - $1/person; zip lines - $1/person; Papa's Barnyard - $1/person; hayrides - $2/person; pony rides - $4/person.

Admission to the patch is $4 per person, although infants and toddlers ages 2 and under get in free.

The Maize
Sept. 21 - Oct. 26, Fridays - SundaysThe Maize in Mandan is a huge corn maze that's entering its tenth season. This year's design is a spider web, so come out and get caught in the web!
Hours of operation on Friday & Saturday are 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Sundays are 1:00pm to 4:00 pm.
Cost is $9 for adults, $7 for children ages 7-12, 6 and under are free.
Drive 1 1/4 miles south of Mandan on Hwy 1806 and watch for the signs.
Zoo Boo
The Dakota Zoo is hosting its annual 'Zoo Boo' on Saturday, October 25 from 1-4pm. The family event provides a safe and fun environment for kids to trick-or-treat and visit their favorite animals at the same time!
Admission is $3 for both children and adults.
Trick or Treating at the Kirkwood Mall
Children up to 10 years old are invited to trick or treat throughout the mall accompanied by their parents with participating retailers from 5 pm to 6 pm on Friday, October 31. In keeping with mall security policy, full-face masks may not be worn.
All-City Halloween Party
All Bismarck-area children, ages pre-school to 5, are invited to an evening of fun for the All-City Halloween Party, hosted by Bismarck Parks & Rec. There will be carnival booths, treats, and prizes for everyone!

Horror on Harmon is a charity haunted house open on Halloween night in Bismarck. For a freewill donation (all proceeds goes to the Girl Scouts), attendees can enjoy an authentic Halloween scare featuring more than 80 actors!
