Bismarck Mom Claims 2yo Boy Found Alone on W Capitol Ave.

A two-year-old boy found walking alone along West Capitol Ave. this morning (Apr. 27) has been claimed by his mother.

The mother of another child was dropping hers off at school when she spotted the boy; he was by himself with a set of keys in his hand.

The mom waited a few minutes for a guardian to show, and when none did, she called Bismarck police, who picked the boy up and took him to the station shortly after 9 am.

Social services were immediately contacted, but it was another three hours before the boy's mother claimed him.

The case has been sent to the city attorney for review.
