5-Year-Old Band Leader Steals the Show With His Cuteness
This band major is more like a band minor.
Five-year-old Taranza McKelvin had the honor of serving as drum major last weekend for Florida’s Glades Central High School during halftime of the team’s football game in the annual Muck Bowl.
Taranza has always wanted to be in a marching band, so he went to band camp with the school last year. Band director Charles Moorer certainly liked what he saw:
He catches on a lot faster than most of my students; he's a very unique kid. He did his performance and the crowd just loved it.”
Taranza had no problems battling any butterflies in his stomach, saying, "I was nervous when I first got out into the field, but then I just performed.”
Let’s also give him props for his cool white suit. No one’s looked better in one of those since Colonel Sanders.
