Bismarck Photographer Nails Halloween To Perfection
I think this is one of the coolest things I have ever seen
I must confess, I have always loved this time of year. The weather starts to cool down, and the colors of fall begin to take shape. October days count down to an event that has always been fun for me, we start seeing huge bags of candy at the store, and orange and brown seem to reach out and say Halloween is near. Costumes are discussed during family time, and kids begin dreaming of just three traditional words "Trick or Treat" - my favorite month by far, so when I saw this picture today, I couldn't wait to share it.
Everything I was doing about an hour ago came to a halt
The skill of photography was delivered perfectly by Jaime Lawler, I mean take a couple of minutes and look at the cover picture of this article. I was able to talk to her on the phone this afternoon and my first question, of course, was "Tell me more about your striking photo". She actually has her husband Thomas to thank "... saw Penny Wise hanging out in a field, 10 miles south of old Highway 10, going into Menoken, ND. He called to tell me about his finding, and ten minutes later, I was driving to Menoken. Once I got back home, I began composite editing. Compositing is the process or technique of combining visual elements from separate sources into single images, often to create the illusion that all those elements are parts of the same scene" With pure talent and desire, Jaime took that picture and made it into pure art. For 16 years she has been specializing in seniors/family portraits - she flat-out puts that feel of an eerie figure out somewhere almost close to us ( in the fields of North Dakota ) - the haunting look of the subject's face, capped off with dark looming skies. The beauty of photography is that everyone that has the opportunity to look at this picture has their own take on what it draws out of them as it did for me. Check out her web page - it's awesome - www.jaimelawlerphotography.com.
The owners of this wonderful spot that Penny sits in are a mystery
Here is the beautiful thing that adds to the mystique of this picture, just recently Jaime and Thomas posted on a local social media page if anyone knew whose land this creepy figure is on, but no luck. In pure artistic charm, she had this to say:
This is yet ANOTHER reason WHY I Too Love Halloween -
Thank you, Jaime!
