Previously a bill was proposed to kill Daylight Saving Time in North Dakota and put the whole state in the Central time zone.

The bill would have made it so North Dakotans would not have to change their clocks an hour twice a year and parts of the state that are in mountain time would move to central time.

On Tuesday, the North Dakota senate struck down the bill 33-11.

This was not the first time it was proposed to put North Dakota all in one time zone. The measure continues to fail.

The measure failed once again in 2017.
