For South Bismarck Residents, Your Alarm Clock Won’t Work Thursday Morning
If you live in certain parts of South Bismarck and use an alarm clock, make alternate plans for Thursday morning.
Montana-Dakota Utilities says they need to perform some maintenance which will cause customers in South Bismarck to lose power between 3:30am and 5:30am.
Most people are sleeping at that time and the power outage won't have much of an impact.
However, if you use a standard alarm clock that plugs in to a wall to wake you up, you'll want to set a back up alarm either on your cell phone or on a battery powered clock. Once the power goes out, your clock will come back on likely flashing the wrong time and that will mess up your alarm.
The map below details the impacted areas.
