Just as we were getting used to the snow melt and milder temperatures, Mother Nature reminds us, we live in North Dakota.

Now is the time for you to be prepared for a late winter storm, moving into the area Sunday and will linger through Tuesday. The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued  A Winter Storm Watch will go into effect Sunday night. This mean there is the potential for accumulating snow is possible.

Heavy snow possible with potential totals ranging from 7-14". Of course, the total amount of snow will depend on where you live and exactly where the system move through the area.

Expect difficult travel Sunday night into Monday. Heavy snow with winds gusting up to 40 mph will create blowing snow and poor visibility and very dangerous travel.

Be sure to check your winter safety survival kit in your car or truck.

Make sure livestock and animals have shelter from this possibly dangerous situation.

This system will affect all of western and central North Dakota and the timing at this point, is Sunday afternoon through Tuesday morning.

Stay with Townsquare Media as we track this system and will keep you up to date throughout the weekend and until the winter storm moves out of the area.
