Come on out to the Former Governor's Mansion on Saturday afternoon for some Halloween festivities!

From 1pm to 4pm on October 11, the Mansion will host a pumpkin painting and scarecrow making bash.

The event is free and open to all.

Straw, twine and a limited supply of clothing will be provided for making scarecrows, as well as pumpkins, paints and other tools for the creation of jack-o'-lanterns.

Families are encouraged to bring old clothing of their own to expand the supply, and some may also be asked to team up on scarecrow projects to make the materials stretch.

Projects may be taken home or left for display on the mansion lawn through Halloween.
