"This is going to be a tour filled with fun as well as great music," Daryl Hall said in a press release. "I love Train and have a close relationship with [Train frontman] Pat Monahan, going back to our Live From Daryl's House show together." Monahan appeared on the TV show back in 2010.

"Looking forward to an amazing tour with our buddies from Train and seeing all our fans around the country in 2018," added Oates.

Hall & Oates released Home for Christmas in 2006, their most recent album together, though both singers and songwriters have recorded solo records. In 2011, Hall released Laughing Down Crying and has kept busy with hosting eight seasons of Live From Daryl's House, which features him performing with musical guests; Oates' latest album, Good Roads to Follow, came out in 2013. The duo was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014 Hall & Oates toured with Tears for Fears last summer.

Train released A Girl, a Bottle, a Boat in early 2017, making it the fourth consecutive year the band put out a record. Train Does Led Zeppelin II, Christmas in Tahoe and Bulletproof Picasso preceded the album.

"I've known Daryl Hall & John Oates for a few years now, and after being their fan my entire life, we now get to tour with them and spend time with legends in the world of music," Monahan said of the upcoming tour. "This will be a career highlight for all of us in Train and a show that you won't want to miss."

Tickets for the tour go on sale Jan. 29 at 10AM local time in most cities. The May 26 show in Philadelphia is part of Hall & Oates' HoagieNation Festival, a  "celebration of food, music and culture."
