Good news for travelers on ND Highway 1806, the roadway is completely open to traffic.

According to the Morton County Sheriff's Office and ND Highway Patrol, the highway is open from Fort Rice to Cannonball at 12 p.m., Tuesday, March 21st.

The opening phase of the roadway was last week when travelers got escorted by a pilot car, but as of today, all barriers and pilot cars will be removed and traffic can flow as normal. Motorists are also reminded to use caution and obey all traffic regulations that are posted in this area of Highway 1806.

 The North Dakota Highway Patrol and the Morton County Sheriff’s Department will continue its increase patrols in the area.
