North Dakota Health and Human Services is launching about $50.5 million in new funding opportunities through the Rural Health Transformation Program, expanding efforts to strengthen healthcare access, workforce capacity, and technology across the state.
The funding supports projects aimed at improving care in rural communities, including investments in telehealth, workforce development, emergency services, and school and hospital wellness programs. Additional opportunities are expected in the coming days as part of nearly $200 million allocated for the program’s first year.
Funding opportunities and deadlines
Current applications include grants for ambulance equipment upgrades, telehealth infrastructure, remote patient monitoring, childcare planning for healthcare workers, and technology initiatives such as artificial intelligence and electronic medical record improvements.
Other funding supports behavioral health programs, pharmacy access, and wellness equipment for hospitals and schools. Deadlines range from July 29 to Aug. 18, depending on the program.
