Here Is What’s Officially Going Into Bismarck’s Old Woodhouse Restaurant

The Time Has Finally Come

While I know that many of us were sad to see the Woodhouse go, we were curious as to what would come next.

Yes, since July of 2022, we have been patiently waiting to hear what would be taking over the Woodhouse building, since it announced its closing.

In October of last year, 2023, I spoke to the CRA Group, a commercial real estate company; they listed the property for sale. They told me they secured new tenants and that multiple parts of the building were available to lease.

They revealed the new tenants would control the majority side of the building and that it would be a Japanese/Asian-style restaurant.

It's Official! --New Japanese Grill

There is a new Japanese restaurant opening in the location. Look for Ichiban Japanese Grill Ramen and Asian Bistro to open soon.

A Google search revealed that the restaurant is occupying that space (1825 n 13th St. Bismarck), which, of course, is the old Woodhouse location.

The Google search also revealed that it would be opening very soon -- March 1st.

What Does Ichiban Mean?

If you’re wondering what Ichiban means, I looked it up; it means number one or first or best.

Other things to know: it will serve vegetarian dishes and will have a kids menu, so it will be a family friendly environment.
