This is one of those things I hate to see. I refuse to accept that summer is winding down, and we'll need to pack it in for the colder months. That's not to say I don't love fall/spooky season and all that winter has to offer, I just love summer.

Closing Soon

There are some things that are closing, and it's one of those signs that summer is indeed, coming to an end.

This isn't too shocking, we know it has to happen every year, but Bismarck Parks and Rec announced today (Thursday, August 3rd) that some of our favorite summer hangouts will be closing soon.

Yep, outdoor pool season is ending over the next few weeks. Pool workers are heading back to work and college as school gets closer to starting.

Pool Closing Schedule

Here are the closing dates Bismarck Parks and Rec sent out today:

The last day for Hillside Aquatic Complex is Friday, August 11th.

Elks Aquatic Center will remain open through Sunday, August 20th.

The BSC Aquatic & Wellness Center will remain open year-round.

Something else to note: Bismarck Parks and Rec is hiring lifeguards and swim instructors.

They soon have training classes for those interested.

Training Courses:

Lifeguard classes: August 16-19th and October 26-29th.

Lifeguard Recertification Class: October 7th.

Lifeguard Instructor Course: Oct 19-21st.

Lifeguard Review Instructor Course: October 19th.

Hop To It

...Or should I say dive? You better get out there and enjoy the water while you can. Take your family and have some summer fun; Fall is coming, as much as I hate to say it.

As always, thanks for reading and just keep swimming!
