10 Reasons Why Fall Beats Summer Every Time In ND!
I'm sorry, I'm over summer already.
Did I really just type that? I'm sorry, I like summer a lot, but fall is the crown jewel of them all.
The recent 90-degree heat waves made it almost too hot to even go outside unless you are on a sandbar somewhere.
Thunderstorms are one of my favorite things about summer. We actually had a very stormy summer, and except for the damaging winds, hail, and tornadoes, thunderstorms are one of my favorite things about summer.
I'm just not a fan of the heat in the summer, and here's why.
When it's too hot to do yard work, you know summer is getting old. The grass is actually growing in August this year, which isn't typical. Normally, you just have to mow the weeds in August.
Forget about trying to work on anything in the garage, as it's like a sauna in there. Basically, add 10 to 15 degrees to whatever the current temperature is, and that's the temperature of your garage.
There's even a time when it's too hot to go fishing. That's right, fishing in 90-plus-degree heat gets to be a little too much for me.
Going for a walk or run in the evening is about the only thing I'm doing outdoors on hot days.
That got me thinking about 10 things to look forward to this fall and the cooler weather.
I grabbed a pen and paper, and here's what I came up with. I'm really curious how many of these 10 things you enjoy as well. Is fall your favorite season of the year, like me? Let me know in the comments.
