Toby Keith last played at the Bismarck Event Center on Friday, May 21, 2021.

I remember it well, as US103-3 had the official Red Solo Cup listener pre-party at the Bismarck Event Center prior to the show.  It was a highly attended event complete with bar stools, tables, ticket upgrades, and other giveaways, and we even had Chancey Williams show up for a meet and greet.  You can read all about that here.

Colt Ford also opened for Toby Keith at this show at the Bismarck Event Center.

Due to COVID-19 and other scheduling conflicts some of us were wondering if this show was ever going to happen.  It was rescheduled several times.

One thing was for sure at a Toby Keith concert, you knew you were going to come away feeling very patriotic.

Toby loved his country and he wasn't afraid to fly the Red, White & Blue.  Here's a video from that concert showing you just that. (VIDEO Courtesy of Patrick A. Schumacher's Facebook page)

Our listeners have been sharing their stories about this concert with us online and on air. We have also had several listeners reach out to us with some photos from Toby's last concert here in Bismarck as well.

We wanted to share these with you and honor a country music icon taken way too early in life.

Toby Keith was only 62 years old.  His music however will live on for generations to come.  You will be missed by so many.  Thank you for being the country music legend that you were.  You were never afraid to stand up for what you believed in.  You will be missed and cancer sure sucks.
