For the second straight year, the final grandstand concert of the North Dakota State Fair featured a classic rock artist. In 2015, it was Aerosmith. This year, it was Kiss, and they didn't disappoint.

At approximately 8:30 p.m. Saturday night, July 30th, the banner adorned with the Kiss logo was raised in front of the stage as the thousands in attendance prepared for a rock and roll spectacle.

The band opened the night with 'Detroit Rock City' and proceeded to crank through a setlist full of hits, including 'Deuce,' 'Shout It Out Loud, and 'Rock and Roll All Nite,' among many others. You can see the band's full setlist, courtesy of Setlist.fm, below:

  2. Deuce
  3. Shout It Out Loud
  4. Creatures of the Night
  5. I Love It Loud

It wouldn't be a Kiss concert, however, without the band's trademark theatrics and there were a lot of them. From pyrotechnics to floating stages and drum risers that literally rose to the sky to confetti cannons, Kiss brought it all.

Since the band's current tour is called the 'Freedom to Rock' tour, there was also a tribute to our military men and women. Kiss brought members of the military on stage, along with Minot mayor Chuck Barney, who gave the band a key to the city.

Saturday night's show was Kiss' second time headlining the grandstand at the North Dakota State Fair and their third time ever playing in Minot.
