ND Spotlight: “Hay!” Before Fed To The Cows Checkout This
Snow fell Monday but there are still some attractions worth getting out to see, well in this case before they become FEED FOR WINTER. Creativity and community involvement is one thing that is strong in our North Dakota small towns. Though they may be few and far between, there is something that even the busiest of people can appreciate. The time one takes to use their own resources, then imagination, and lastly put together a fun sight for all to enjoy in hopes of making at least one person smile. Or in this case, we think it's fair to say, this homage to the farmer and rancher hay harvest has made many smile.
Richardton, North Dakota
Our recent travels took us thru a town we know well but had not driven down main since summer. The surprise that BEC had was enough to first make Tigger think he had either A. hit a poor dog or B. even worse a small child. To dismay but yet finally Tigger's approval was the sight of lined up large round bales. Now of course, us two are no strangers to HAY for say but when they've been decorated so carefully, the themes so unique. How could one not appreciate the locals that did this for their Home Town, or that show again of camaraderie and love a community can have for its people and those that drive that scenic highway 10 as passing by? All we can say is, take the time, make the drive, and again get off the interstate and enjoy the towns that are the backbone of North Dakota. Way To Go, Richardton on making us feel welcome.
