The North Dakota State Bison didn't waste time getting to work on Saturday at the Fargodome as they struck early and often on their way to a 38-10 win over Delaware.

The Bison (3-0) made what seemed like quick work of defeating the overmatched Delaware Blue Hens (2-2), as NDSU would put up four first quarter touchdowns to take a 28-0 lead before the Blue Hens even knew what hit them.

Easton Stick ran one in from 2 yards out on the opening drive to make it 7-0. On Delaware's ensuing possession, Jabril Cox picked off a pass from Delaware quarterback Pat Kehoe and took it to the house for a pick-six. This came on the very first offensive play for the Blue Hens. Just like that, it was 14-0 not even five minutes into the game.

On Delaware's next possession, they managed to get three plays in before Robbie Grimsley picked off another pass from Kehoe to give the Bison the ball back at their own 40-yard line. Stick went to work on the ground and through the air as the Bison drove down to the Delaware 12-yard line. Stick ran in the next play for his second touchdown of the game to make it 21-0.

Delaware would go three-and-out on their next possession and would be forced to punt. Darrius Sheppard returned the 41-yard punt 49 yards to the Delaware 23-yard line. Two plays later, Stick hit Bruce Anderson on a pass that would go for an 18-yard score and 28-0 lead.

In the second quarter, a Jaylaan Wimbush interception on another pass from Kehoe was followed by another NDSU touchdown drive. Stick went to the air again, this time to Ben Ellefson from 11 yards out for another touchdown and a 35-0 lead.

Stick finished with 280 yards passing on 17 of 26 and two touchdowns. He also added 41 yards rushing on 5 carries and two more touchdowns on the ground as well.

The Bison managed to outgain the Blue Hens in yardage by a margin of 527-152. The defense played another stellar game while also forcing four Delaware turnovers.

North Dakota State will host South Dakota State (2-0) in their first conference game next Saturday (September 29th) at the Fargodome at 2:30 p.m.
