The North Dakota State Bison are switching things up for their game against Western Illinois, opting to go with their green 'harvest helmets' for the first time ever.

The Bison introduced the new helmets during head coach Chris Klieman's weekly press conference on Monday, November 2nd, according to InForum.

The helmets are being worn as part of the annual Harvest Bowl and were funded by a group of 50 alums and supporters.

To go with their new green 'harvest helmets,' the Bison will also wear their gold alternate jerseys.

NDSU takes on Western Illinois this Saturday, November 7th, at the FargoDome. Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m.
