The popular baby name site, Nameberry, has totaled up the names of every baby born from 1982 to 2004 (the Millennial era), and we now know the most popular names for Millennials.

The published list, known as the "Most Millennial Names" list, found that the top names for boys and girls are Michael and Jessica, respectively.

There are 1,131,021 Millennials named Michael and 757,533 Millennials named Jessica. That being said, according to the United States Census Bureau, the population of North Dakota is an estimated 755,393. Basically, there are about as many people in North Dakota as there are Millennials named Jessica. Think if there were that many Millennials in North Dakota...Yikes!

Just kidding. I write this while also being a Millennial myself, so I'm not going out of my way to pick on Millennials. We've been given a bad enough reputation as it is.

Following Michael on the list of 'Most Millennial Names' for boys were Christopher, Matthew, Joshua, and Daniel. On the same list for girls, following Jessica, is was Ashley, Amanda, Sarah, and Jennifer. You can catch the entire top 100 names for Millennials for both boys and girls by clicking the link here. And hey, if you happen to be expecting and need an idea for names, there are a lot of ideas...That is, of course, if you'd want to name your child after a Millennial...Just kidding again, Millennials! I'm one of you.
