Save The Date For Bismarck’s Annual Polar Plunge
Join us at the Elks Lodge in Bismarck for this years Polar Plunge on Saturday, March 21st!
This fundraiser is organized by the Special Olympics North Dakota and Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics which helps build public-awareness, raise funds and to further Special Olympics mission as stated:
To provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
This fundraiser is open to friends, family, and the community. In order to take the plunge into the freezing waters, participants must collect pledges from friends, coworkers, your dog walker, your family, and whoever else you may know with a minimum collection of $75. Remember, there are fun contests for you to compete in including the Youngest Plunger, the Whitest Legs, Most Money raised by Individual/Team, Best Costume, and the Golden Plunger Award for Most Money raised by Law Enforcement Team.
