I can honestly say there are very few foods that I personally "loathe".

As I've gotten older, it seems I enjoy more and more foods.  With that being said, I refuse to eat disgusting foods like the organs of any animal.  Yuck.  I loathe those like Rocky Mountain Oysters, stomach liners (tripe), liver, etc.  You get the idea.

An article on Feast Good, a website made up of athletes, nutrition coaches, and registered dieticians committed to working out and eating healthy, had a story on the most loathed foods in each state that caught my eye.

Yep, the food police telling us what we should and shouldn't be eating.

Before I get to what is North Dakota's unique guilty pleasure, let's run down some of the most loathed foods from our neighboring states.

Minnesota loves a food I could totally roll with it.  "Deep Fried Potato Bites".

This looks totally unhealthy but a solid appetizer in my opinion.  Well done Minnesota.

Montanans have a hankering for something truly disgusting in my opinion.  "Rocky Mountain Oysters".

Why anybody would want to eat the testicles of a cow or any animal for that matter is beyond me.  Barf out.

South Dakota loves its "Frybread".

Another solid choice.  Frybread is used for tacos quite often.   You can find frybread at food trucks or county fairs.  Hobo Tacos is a food truck that serves frybread that comes to mind.  Frybread is delicious and you should definitely try this if you never have before.

And finally, North Dakota's most loathed food is none other than a Bismarck Mandan favorite "fleischkuechle".

A German dish that is a favorite with many Bismarck Mandan folks.  You can find this dish at restaurants around the area like Krolls.  I personally don't get it, very dry to me and kind of meh?!
