I ran across something almost scary for me---since I rise and shine so early every weekday morning around 3am and sometimes don't get to sleep until 10 or 1030 at night.   It seems a lack of sleep can kill brain cells---YIKES!!!

Researchers from the Center for Sleep  at the University of Pennsylvania found that staying awake too long can actually lead to irreversible brain cell damage.  Their quote from the study is this:  “We now have evidence that sleep loss can lead to irreversible injury,” So--if you're like me---maybe we've found a great excuse for sleeping in late and can tell our boss---that we were just restoring brain cells.   Yeah---like that's going to work!!(Forbes)
