The snow has already started to fall in Bismarck and surrounding area. Bismarck and Mandan are under the influence of a Winter Weather Advisory, which could be updated to a WINTER STROM WARNING as the system moves in from the West.

According to the National Weather Service in Bismarck, timing of the event will be snow moving into the area tonight and will continue to fall overnight into the early morning hours. Bismarck can expect additional snow through Monday afternoon before diminishing. Very cold air will move into the area through most of next week. Wind chill values will fall from 10 to 20 below during the over night and early morning hours.

Between 2 and 5 inches of additional snow is expected in the advisory area from a line extending from Killdeer to Bismarck to Lamoure. Between 5 and 8 inches of additional show is expected in and around a line from Beach to Mott to Linton and points South.

Travel can be hazardous in the watch and warning areas. As of 5PM (Sunday 11/9) The McKenzie Sheriffs Department has issued a NO TRAVEL ADVISORY in the county due to icy road conditions.
