Twinkies

We were all mourning since the fall----when those beloved Hostess Twinkies disappeared from the store shelves, but since its return this month Twinkies are enjoying new life – and popularity.  I've been a part of this return--and have actually bought two boxes of Twinkies.  I put mine in the freezer and enjoy one every few days.  Nice little tasty treat!

Twinkies have returned...but they may be a bit smaller than you remember.

Hostess has established an official countdown clock for the return of Twinkies Monday, and a contest to show your best cake face. All of this fun for the return of a cake that you never really liked, until someone threaten to take it away from you...

For those of us who have been experiencing "Twinkie Withdrawl" since late last year, it looks like the Twinkie be back on store shelves starting Monday July 15th, but there are a few changes.   Our favorite cream-filled sponge cake will have an even long shelf life than those original Hostess Twinkies.

Been having "Hostess Withdrawl?"   Not that I ate them alot, but it was a little bit of a treat to have a Hostess Twinkie once in awhile---loved to keep mine in the freezer.  And a Ho-Ho from time to time is a nice little treat.   Junk Food Junkies of the World---Unite and Rejoice!!!

I was sad when I heard there were going to be no more Twinkies and especially after I went to 2-3 grocery stores and found they were sold out a few months ago.  Got a little good news for all of us fans of the cream-filled sponge cake.  For those of you who are still in mourning over the loss of Hostess Twinkies, you can take off the black dress soon.
