Well, it was one of the best hunting seasons I've ever experienced on this earth.  The North Dakota Outdoors did not disappoint.  From opening day, to the last day of season in early January, it was a banner year to be a bird hunter.  That's all I hunt by the way.

The weather was unusually warm for most of the fall, with an exception of about 10 wintry days in mid October.

Sharing the outdoors with your son,  four legged best friend, and good friends is all a guy could ever ask for.  It's something I look forward to every year, and begin to miss as soon the season is over.

I had a lot of highlights this year including, shooting my first banded duck in many, many years.  We'll be eating good in my household, as pheasants were plentiful.  You still had to work for them, but I prefer it that way.  (20,000 plus step days were the norm during the pheasant season this year)  I had a couple of great diver hunts, Mallards & Wigeon in the cornfields, and then closed out the season chasing pheasants in December and January.  All of this was a tremendous distraction of what's going on with the world today.

About the only thing that seemed to allude us this year was a good goose field hunt.  Something to work on for next year.  I can't wait!
