Lawmakers went into the wee hours of the morning on Friday debating a 3rd stimulus check for Americans.  According to an article on the New York Post, this key Senate vote early Friday morning is the first hurdle needed to pass President Biden's $1.9 trillion relief plan.  That's a lot coin and some of it could be coming your way soon.  Biden has proposed sending $1,400 to every person who got the first two stimulus payments.  Some of those who were left out of the first two payments may also receive checks this time around.

So, next step will be for the bill to pass the House.  House Democratic leaders are expected to move fast with this bill as well.  The parameters on who will receive these stimulus checks are as follows.  As it stands for now, American adult taxpayers who make up to $75,000 a year would receive a check $1,400.  The amount would gradually decrease for people earning more than that, and if you make more than $95 grand you are out of luck.  The income limits double for married couples who file their taxes jointly.  You may also see something for your children.

But fewer checks may go out if Republicans and moderate Democrats can agree with the Biden plan.  Another fly in the ointment, that could delay a check to your household is former President Donald Trump's impeachment trial.  If all goes well, you can expect a check as early as mid March.

It's estimated that North Dakota has lost over 6,000 jobs since the pandemic began in early 2020, according to the Economic Policy Institute analysis of Bureau of Labor statistics current employment statistics data.  A lot of people still hurting in North Dakota.  This third check will come as a big help.
