A New Hotel is Coming Near the Bismarck Airport

The Bismarck Airport will be getting a new hotel thanks to a lease agreement approved by the city commission approved earlier this week.

The new hotel is a Springhill Suites by Marriott. It'll be built near Airport Road and University Drive. The company behind the project, New Leaf Development, had a lease agreement approved by the city commission to help the project proceed in its efforts to bring the new hotel near the airport.

The hotel will go on the northwest side of the airport and will be 4-stories high with a restaurant and parking lot on the 3-acre piece of land owned by the city.

As many hotels in Bismarck are miles away from the airport, the city will now be getting one much more accessible for airline passengers.

Upon finalizing initial hotel design plans, New Leaf Development will look to hire a contractor, as they hope to break ground on the project in spring of summer of 2018.
