Bismarck Recycling Program to Begin in Spring 2014
Did you get the letter in the mail asking if you wanted to sign up for the Bismarck recycling program? I did, and we signed up at my house. The Bismarck City Commission approved the final contract with Waste Management, Inc., to provide a single-sort, curbside recycling program to begin in the spring.

Every two weeks the recycling bin will be picked up from your home with an additional cost of $3.81 per month to residents. Which I believe is a small amount to pay when you consider the benefits to the environment, plus the convenience of not having to drop of the recycling yourself. FYI - 28 percent of Bismarck residents opted out of the curbside recycling program, but 12,000 households are still participating.
