For the 3rd year Friday night, the Bismarck Public Library will be hosting a mini golf night.

The event will run from 7:30pm till 10pm. Doors will close at 8:30pm. Anyone who wishes to attend can pick up a free ticket at either the Bismarck or Morton Mandan public libraries. They will only be available through Thursday.

The libraries Head of Teen Services, Kathy Vander Vorst, got the idea back in 2012 after seeing other libraries pull off similar ideas.

Each of the 9 holes will be book themed. Some of the holes will include "The Hunger Games," "Star Wars," and "Alice in Wonderland"

Attendance for this even has grown over the last 2 years. The first event had 50 teens attend, last year it was 80. Kathy is hoping for at least 100 this year.

Speaking with the Bismarck Tribune, Kathy talked about how much fun this event is.

“The best part about the evening is that it is just a lot of fun, It is truly a party that the library puts on for area teens.”

Entertainment will be provided by Wild Inspire.
