The 3rd Annual Community Fit Fair hosted by Bismarck State College and the North Dakota National Guard is happening Thursday, September 8 from 4-7 p.m. at Shiloh Christian School Athletic Complex.

Participants of all ages are invited to this free event, which will feature the Army Physical Fitness Test comprised of 2 minutes of sit-ups, 2 minutes of push-ups, and a 2 mile run or 2.5 mile walk.  Each participant will be scored based on their results with the same guidelines as the Army National Guard soldiers use.

A new feature this year is the Non-Competitive Mini-APFT in which participants will complete 1 minute of sit-ups, 1 minute of push-ups, and a 1 mile run or walk. Each station will be staffed by ND National Guard soldiers for assistance while motivating you along the way.

Another new feature this year is the Youth Bootcamp for ages 7 and up. The youths will participate in a series of Army-releated fun challenges and obstacles.

Along with the competition, a wide variety of community wellness booths and display vehicles will be made available for everyone to browse. Agencies will answer health and fitness questions as well.
