They'll be making the request Tuesday night at a meeting of the Board of City Commissioners.  I thought the new Five Guys was just going to be in South Bismarck next to Kirkwood Mall?  But just today I saw this on the Bismarck City Commission agenda.

Public Hearing on Ordinance 6466, a request for the annexation of Lots 4-14, Block 2, Lot 1, Block 3, and Lots 1-9 and Lots 23-29, Block 4, Boulder Ridge Seventh Addition First Replat, requested by Five Guys Investment, LLP.
How does a burger joint get dropped in a new swanky residential development? I mean who wouldn't want a Five Guys smack dab in the middle of their neighborhood?  So I went all Encyclopedia Brown on the story (anybody read those books in the school library? They were my favorites).  Turns out it only took Blues Clues level sleuthing to uncover it wasn't these Five Guys..

It was these Five Guys!  Seems Five Guys Investment, LLP is a local investment partnership that was created way back in 2004.  No photo available..

So, while Boulder Ridge's Seventh Addition may not be getting a Five Guys Burgers and Fries, it appears odds are good more residential properties are likely coming that way.
Meanwhile, in South Bismarck, we are getting a Five Guys Burgers and Fries, along with a Blaze Pizza, and a Chick-fil-A and they broke ground earlier this month next to the Kirkwood Mall!  To prove it, KFYR-TV has this picture of people with shovels.
I know this is a story about Five Guys, but I'm REALLY looking forward to the Chick-fil-A.  I've never tried it.  When I'm in Fargo, what's the only time I think about it?
Sundays...always on a Sunday.
