Heitkamp Says Sooner Rather than Later on Governors Race Decision

Heidi Heitkamp acknowledges that everyone is expecting news from her since Gov. Jack Dalrymple has no plans to seek another term.

“I know that there is a need for me to say, to actually make this decision so that others who might be considering it in the Democratic Party can have the most amount of time,”

That's what she told a local reporter in Fargo today. She said she does not have a time line on when that decision will come down, but it'll be sooner than later.

Heitkamp wants to discuss future plans with her family and she also wants to be in the place the she can best serve North Dakotans.
