Hey Cancer, you Lose!
Last spring when I was diagnosed with Stage 3C Ovarian Cancer, my life changed. I became a member of a club I never wanted to join. I learned more about Cancer and Chemotherapy than I ever wanted. I spent more time at Sanford than I ever wanted. I had more tests, scans, surgeries, needle pokes, prescriptions and side effects than I ever want to experience again.
But I also made new friends. I encouraged others battling this awful cancer disease. I shared the information. I shared tears and hugs.
Thank you, family, friends, listeners, for all your support. Thank you for giving me a hug in the grocery store, and telling me to keep fighting. Thank you for stopping and telling me that you too are battling and that I encourage you by sharing my story. Thank you for telling me you like my new look. Thank you for being a part of my battle.
Friday, August 30th, at 9:40am I rang the bell!
I fought, I refused to give up, I won!
