It’s Snack Time! A Unique Treat Stand Opened In Bismarck

If you haven't had the opportunity to try one of these treats yet, now is the time! A macaron stand called "The World of Macarons" just opened in the Kirkwood Mall.

What's A Macaron?

According to cakedecorist.com, macarons originated in France. They are made with egg whites, sugar, almond flour, and food coloring. While that doesn't sound like a complex recipe, making these treats is a top-notch skill. -- I know I would destroy my kitchen trying to get these little devils to turn out right.

Flavorful Fun

So, what does a macaron taste like? I'm glad you asked. I actually tried these for the first time last year and I was VERY SURPRISED. I was expecting them to be sort of like cookies, but the texture blew my mind.

Looking at them, you wouldn't think this, but they are very soft and chewy. I would almost say it's a gummy-like texture.

These treats have a sort-of cult following. The coolest part? -- The flavor options! There are so many unique flavors to choose from. When I first tried them, I think I got a cotton candy flavored one that turned my mouth bright blue.

If you're wondering what flavors "The World of Macarons" has, this is what I've seen posted on their sign: Oreo, Coconut, Lemon, Strawberry, Pistachio, and Chocolate. Yum!

How Long?

So, how long will the "The World of Macarons" stand be set up in the mall? -- That I don't know, but I'm not going to waste any time getting mine. FOMO is seriously setting in.
