Good Sirs and Good Ladies, I implore you not to miss this most amazing weekend.

Frankly, I think this will help you wrap your head around North Dakota's First Annual Rennaisance Faire! Let's hear from Salamander...

“Today, I’m in charge of the maze of wonders. We have a dragon in there. He’s chased me out of my maze and home, and I have to figure out where he’s hiding treasure because I would like to take just a little bit of that,” says one performer named Salamander.

There's jousting, chariot racing, sword fighting, horses trained to take a fall, and performers trained to speak in an old-timey fashion.

It's the First Annual Renaissance Faire!

Just like the extra "e" in the word "Faire", you might not realize just how much you need this event. Don explains why hundreds of people stormed the Faire on its first weekend...

“We have many guests because the people of Fargo desperately needed this,” said Don Larenzo the Baron of Treviso, Renaissance Faire, Host.

Whether the need was "desperate" is probably up to interpretation, but people certainly came and by all accounts had a marvelously medieval time. Comedic characters wander the grounds creating both mischief and merriment. It may be the only place where you can freely use the word "wenches" as often as you like.

Just try not to overdo it

Cassie, a wench from Valley City, had this to add...

You see events like these in bigger cities and states but she says to have access to it in her own backyard is a game changer.

She won’t have to go out and spend thousands of dollars or travel hundreds of miles to gain access.
